Chemical Solutions and Innovations (CSI) is a private company established in 2006 that has grown to become a leading supplier of metalworking fluids and lubricants to the Southern African market. Our highly skilled team boasts more than 150 years of cumulative experience and expertise. As the official distributor of Quaker Houghton CSI supplies only the highest quality products to our customers. Our lubricants brand Potenza Oil is manufactured to the highest standard in accordance with ISO principles. CSI is service driven, maximizing the value to our customers and their processes. CSI is the market leader in bespoke Chemical Management Services (CMS) which has proven to be very successful thus allowing our customers to focus on what they do best.

2006

Our company was established and opened its first distribution facility in Port  Elizabeth. By conducting in-depth market research and Chemical Audits at various production facilities we were able to become market leaders and experts in our field.

2007

 

CSI was appointed as the distributor of the Quaker brand of metalworking fluids in the Southern African Market.

2008

CSI implemented its first level-two CMS (Chemical Management Services) program.

2009

CSI opened its second distribution facility in Johannesburg.

2010

CSI implemented its first level-one Chemical Management System and a further two level-two CMS programs.

2012

CSI commissioned its lubricant blending facility in Johannesburg (Potenza Oils®). The blending facility was completed and became operational on 13th April 2013.

2014

CSI opened its third distribution facility in Cape Town and also expanded its laboratory facilities in Port Elizabeth.

2015


We further expanded our blending facilities to include a fully automated water-based blending facility in Port Elizabeth and also increased the CMS program to five different sites.

2016

Our Potenza oil lubricant product range is further expanded to include over 100 products.

2018

A further four CMS sites were added with a total of nine CMS sites nationwide.

CSI strives to always comply with the various statutory and regulatory requirements operational in the different industries it operates in and is proud to be certified for ISO 9001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 along with the continued promotion of safety, health and the environment.

CSI implemented its Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) as a fundamental part of its risk management strategy to address changing legislation and protect our workforce.
